Caravan rental period
Bookings are from 4pm on the date of arrival until 10am on the date of departure. When the final payment has been made you will be given details on how to collect keys.
Who can rent the caravan
Devon Cliffs is a holiday park aimed at families and couples. Park rules dictate that we are unable to accept bookings from the following:-
- Groups of persons of all one sex
- Groups under the age of 21
There are some exclusions to these rules. Bookings from same sex couples or same sex family members are permitted eg. a group consisting of a grandmother, mother and daughter.
There are park rules in place to ensure that all guests enjoy their stay here. Guest whose unreasonable conduct causes a nuisance to others will be asked to leave. This also means that if someone is keeping you awake at night with their antisocial behaviour, you can report them to Devon Cliffs staff.
Sorry, no pets allowed
Pets are not allowed in the caravan. If you fail to notify us that you intend to take a pet your holiday will be forfeited.
The caravan is a 8 berth holiday home with 3 bedrooms. There is 1 double bed and 4 single beds. There is also a pull-out sofa bed in the lounge.
Guests should supply their own bedding, but if you let us know at the time of booking, we can supply duvets, pillows, covers and sheets (for an additional charge)
Deposit/bond and rental charge
A deposit/bond of £100 is required to secure your booking. The deposit should be returned with your booking form. The deposit/bond will be returned after the caravan has been inspected.
On receiving the deposit you will be issued with a receipt either by post or if you prefer, by email. The receipt will confirm your booking dates and the rental charge.
The rental charge will be due 6 weeks prior to the booking start date. If your holiday is less than 6 weeks away we will require the full rental charge at the time of booking.
The hirer must take reasonable care of the caravan during the booking period. On departure the caravan must be left in a clean and tidy state. The hirer is ultimately responsible for all members of their party and must make good any losses, damage or breakages done to the caravan or its contents during their stay.
We do not use the deposit/bond to 'catch out' decent, honest people, with overly critical inspections. It is a small insurance policy to protect us from the minority of people that do not take reasonable care of the caravan. This has in the past cost us hundreds of pounds in repairs and replacing stolen items.
If you break a single plate or a glass, please go ahead and replace it. Just drop us an email to let us know. A single minor breakage will not affect your deposit/bond. The deposit/bond will be returned after a successful inspection of the caravan.

Smoking is NOT Permitted in the caravan or on the deck area. The deck is made of plastic and could melt or catch fire. This is a rule enforced by the park.

Please ensure that your car is parked in the bay provided. All vehicles are parked and driven on the park at the owner's risk. The Road Traffic Act still applies whilst on the park.
There are numerous play facilities on the park for children, as well as the swimming pool and the beach. It is recommended that young children are supervised at all times. Children under the age of 8 years are not permitted in the Swimming Pool unless supervised by an adult.
It is recommended that you purchase some form of holiday insurance to cover your personal possessions and holiday cancellation/curtailment. As you would with any other holiday.
Cancellation of your holiday
If you have to cancel your holiday, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible, as cancellation charges will apply.
Bookings that are cancelled at the very last minute cause us the greatest financial loss as we are unable to rent the caravan at such short notice. The sooner you notify us, the less our financial loss and the lower the charge to you.
Should the caravan become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control we will issue you with a full refund.
